When I was young boy, I used to look Up to the sky. Every day, I wondered why The world was full Of so much hate. One fateful day, Then I met you. A man who'd stand To right evil. I slept at night So calm and serene, The world a dream, I found a hero.
When you're a kid People are cruel, They take what you are, Aspirations and all, Tear 'em up in pieces, Beat you down at recess. I stood my ground, Fought the fight, Every single Pain-filled day. I'd do it all Over again, If I hadn't heard The words The bullies jeered: Even heroes die.
Oh no no. That must be Some kind of A mistake. Oh no. Not true. It can't be.
Funny, I thought you were Invincible. Like if the world Were a school You'd be the principal. I took their words And never backed down. I stood by you, When everyone hated. They look at your past, Call you unclean, Pharisaical Philosophers, Worst of the sinners.
Time flies. Standing here Now a man. Ten years I never have believed That dirty phrase. Even heroes die.
Oh my brother, What's going on? Where are your morals And all that you stood for? "Judge not Lest ye be judged." That's an excuse For all the crap you do. I hear that mantra, Ringing in my ears, It bites like a venom, A shock to my spine, Even heroes die. It's too bad You were scared To be a martyr. All the words You said And lines you sang, Were they empty? I feel hollow- Worn out, betrayed. I stood by you Now look at this scene. I'm tied up to this tree, You mock and spit at me. It's so true What they say. Even heroes die.

I chanced upon a beauty,
ReplyDeleteI saw her in the woods.
They call her Aistaraina
Name none have understood.
In years a'gon before,
She was the northern star,
And as the sphere revolves,
She landed some years not far.
On the day she fell,
The sky had wept and mourned.
The last ancient gem,
No more her realm adorned.
Then Fate took control,
Brought me to her side,
And on into the night,
Forever we will ride.
